The thing I hate about the 900 is, if one just calls, the flop comes QT3 and he pushes. You could easily have the best hand here, but its a weird spot. Push it prefloP!

This is correct, you dont want to leave yourself open to a stop and go.
The short stack is obviously in the blinds, and will act first - so the right of first bluff.
That and you will have to call any reraise, so just push, keep it simple. You can't just play your stack, you have to play your opponents stacks too.
Your aces hands are a favorite if you see all five cards, so see all five cards.
