can someone explain why? to help some of us beginners?... or maybe just me =D
The only reason i can think of is that the players were weak/passive in which case it might make sense.

You have mediocore hands, but they will fold very often. Even if they call they will sometimes have the worst hand(like these examples)

astroboiii...

with blinds being huge like here, you're in aggressive territory.

One opponent has 6 BB (enough for only 12 hands!) the other has about 9.

This means that they are under pressure to win pots. If they don't, the lose VERY quickly... no time to wait for any kind of quality. If you're first in, they either have to call with whatever they have or fold and let you pick up what's a pretty damned big pot. 450 is over 1/4 of the shortstacks chips!

Now, and this is important... unless your opponents have a big hand you will usually be a 5/4 favorite pushing with Ax and getting called, and the percentage of times they fold will well outweigh the number of times they have a big hand and your wager isn't giving you correct odds.

Calling THEIR all-in bet is another story all together of course

Sorry........

I hate annoying smart-arse posts.........

But wtf I'll go ahead anyway..........

Something I've seen a few times lately is people talking about 'bullying short stakes' and and 'having a big stake'..........it's STACK!! Short stack, big stack, etc.

When you're talking about a betting game that involves both stacks and stakes, mixing up the two is slightly confusing...and slightly irritating....

Okay smart arse rant over!!
