Not much info on the guy as I had just been moved from another table, but he had a decent stack, so he must be good (just kidding).
Would you have pushed after he checked to me on the river? I put him on two high cards, possible high pocket pair, after he check-bet-called me on the turn I figured he is very likely to have a good pocket pair afraid I called a 4x bb preflop bet with A5. I'm always afraid to use scare cards, not because I play afraid to bust to a good call, but I play afraid to bust to a bad call where people refuse to lay down their good preflop hands but can't fold KK or QQ with an ace on the board with someone showing strength (I'm not saying if I pushed hard and he called it would be a bad call of course).

What was the buy-in?
He knows you haven't got an ace, reraise and call on the flop screams overpair and unless you have aces he knows he has you beat. Your bet on the turn confirms you are not playing Ax (other than perhaps A7).
I can see the temptation to try and win it when the Ace hits but you are going to get called there by KK a lot more often than you are going to win the pot. More importantly a win is not going to significantly improve your chance of making the money but a loss if he calls could either cripple you or end your chances. There are definately circumstances where a scary river can help take down a pot (though I prefer a scary turn) this doesn't seem to be one of them.
I think you played it well, more often than not and particularly this early in a tourney I'm playing it the way you did to be safe.

Thanks, the other way to do it is just put colons : in front of the cards. You also have to make any letters like J K Q A into lower case, but it's pretty straightforward.
I still think you played it well
