I'm in a SNG with a bunch of fairly loose preflop callers, and my K2s has a decent shot at beating them, I figure.
When the flop comes AAA, everyone checks. Are they slowplaying the quads, or checking a weak hand? How can I tell?
I went ahead and pushed all in, hoping my king kicker was good. Was that a dumb move, or no?

i dont like that play one bit
anyone with pockets and decent stack will most likely call
i think if i was on your table with pocket 2s through 8s i'd fold but anything higher i'd call
obviously depending on pot size

I don't see you getting called when your ahead, and I dont see you pushing out any better hands. Possibly 2's-6s. DONT go broke in a nothing pot.

Do you really like this move in a cash game? I think this moves sucks in a cash game.

I think your PF limp sucks, and when they check the flop, you gain no info, so you basically have nothing to play off of. You can definitely find better spots to put all of your chips in, so don't do it in this situation.

This move sucks in a cash game. There is NOTHING in the pot to win..

It wouldn't be first on my list in a cash game, but I like to liven up a game every now and then. You're gonna get a lot of folds and you're gonna get a lot of action after this hand by the "sheriffs" at the table who (deep down) believe that bluffing is against the rules.
Everyone checks to me in this situation, I'm definitely betting and puttin' on the brakes if someone calls me. A ridiculously large bet like this would be at a passive table (loose or tight) to get people gunning for you and that's it.
In SNG's, the action can suck if you're unlucky and get a passive table. Unless you catch cards, you have to fire it up a little bit.

Hmm, I guess it depends on how many see the flop and your position.
About the SnG comment. Almost everyone I play is filled with real loose aggresive players and a couple calling stations.“There's no sense in being precise when you don't even know what you're talking about.” - John von Neumann

In my defense, it was not a "nothing" pot. This was late in the tourney... I practically doubled up by stealing the blinds.
Still think it was a pretty dumb move... I just had this hunch.

I think the dumb move was calling PF with K2s and only one limper in the pot.
