Implicit Collusion in Split Games
PokerStars (9 handed) converter
Preflop: SB posts a blind of 50.
2 folds, MP1 calls, 4 folds, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.
Flop: , , (3 players)
SB bets, BB calls, MP1 calls.
Turn: (3 players)
SB bets, BB raises, MP1 folds, SB raises, BB raises, SB calls.
River: (2 players)
SB bets 38 (All-In), BB calls.
Final Pot:
Main Pot: > High won by BB (). Low won by SB ().
Results in white below:
BB has Ac 6s 3d 3c (Low: 6, 5, 3, 2, A | High: full house, threes full of twos).
SB has 6d 4h Qd Ad (Low: 5, 4, 3, 2, A | High: straight, six high).
Outcome: SB wins . BB wins .
I have found that in split games lt's sometimes ok to not bet a made hand in order to keep other players in the hand. In this case the BB should have flat called, and hope the third player stayed in. I have seen Others accuse players of soft playing doing this.
