Yeah Hellmuth's book is quite easy to understand and the strategy section especially the beginners section is very easy to follow. It is a very good 1st book.

please don't play holdem like phil says.

Get check out Small Stakes Holdem or Internet Texas Holdem.

SSH is much easier to read than other 2+2 books.

It is, but if this guy is talking abotu HPFAP he most likely plays ring games.

A lot of people have read HPFAP thinking it was for NL ring.... and its not... its for LImit ring.... HPFAP is such a niche book, its really just for specialists, like Bboy, myself, and other hardcore limit players.

Since when are you a specialist? SSH is just for limit holdem too, but you recomended that.

Touche. But HPFAP, is geared towards high limit games... SSH is just that. And Limit is about all I play, about 90%

actually, i try to stay away from ring games.

i mostly play HU sng's. 1 or 2 table sng's. and the occasional $10-$20 MTT.
