What's wrong with a check/call-check/push here?

b/c on turn I would assume my OP is no good. cheking, 3 way and then calling your whole stack away in a possible 3 way, is not ideal situation for me.

Why are you assuming your aces are no good? Unless he raised preflop with A3, 36, pocket 4s, pocket 5s or some comination of 2x than your sitting with the top hand? Alot of hands beat you, but i cant see someone rasing or calling 4BB with any of those. Either way the preflop raise would have helped you put a better range on this guys hand.

ya a dude raising t400 in an 800 pot and the next dude to act going in for 1.2k. these two players come in for 60-80 chips pf (im guessing about 3-4bb) so every hand is possible. screw this argument. I cant comment on the situation b/c its soo missplayed PF.

You're saying you would call 4BB with any of those card combinations? I think a more likely situation, which is the one that happened, is the guy raising had a high pocket pair or an Ax where x is 10-K. But ive said it many times already, i completely agree that the PF is horrible

Honestly, its not a world classs play, but it made the job... He got his opponent all-in with only 4 outs!
If no 3 hit the river, this post dosent even exist... 99% sure...

I am going to take a different approach to this thread. My question is why is Marm pushing here? He has nothing but a gutshot strt draw. His opponent is telling him he has something, is this just a semi bluff looking to hit a 4 outer? (maybe a 10 outer if you believe an A or K will win the pot) Or does Marm believe he is ahead and can get a loose call?
I am not asking this to criticize Marm, rather I am trying to learn something since I consider him to be a good player.
I dont know if I would have pushed here
