ok well im playin a family game with my brother mom and dad. i make some errors that i shouldnt have and i end up with my dad who has like 6/1 on me its really not lookin good. he is a very conservative person and might check aces all the way through so i had a very hard time gettin money from him. I dont wanna be a jerk and jack up the blinds cause its a family game and stuff. what is the best way to beat him? I ended up trying 2 card holdem by this time though it was too late

To win a poker tournament you must play it like the wise turtle. You must zip up and form a protective shell around you. Sure, aggresive players, or cars, may run over you, but you're protected by your candy coated shell. Any remember, slow and steady always wins the race.
First one to tell me where this is from gets $.01 in their PS account.“There's no sense in being precise when you don't even know what you're talking about.” - John von Neumann

Cheking pp AA all the way is more passive I think. If betting v.s your Dad would offend him, then I suggest you work out your family issues before you work out you poker strategy.
If you dont have any family problems, then I will tell you: your dad rather have you beat him, then him beat you. This is a game focused on social/fun etc.. not strategy, so forget the strategy and have fun.I get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.
