not everyone they only see the trip kings which probabley beat your apponents best hands of Q's or two pair, so you still won't get any action

I'm not much of a stud player (I play stud tourneys every now and then for fun), but wow, what a lousy way to pick up quads. Too bad the kings weren't rolled up.
You more or less have a sign that reads: "YOU'RE BEAT KID, GO AWAY". As dumb as this sounds, I'd probably check and hope my opponent catches something and is stupid enough to bet it. I mean what else can you do? Unless you're up against a maniac, any bet is going to take down the pot. I guess I'd try and slow play it and get one or two more bets out of him. If he catches a SF on you, well it's just not your millenuim.

I hoped he had a flush draw or a couple of low cards that he would chase with, didnt want to lose half the pot with him backing into a low, so I bet.

I had pocket 10's, the flop came 4-9-4, then the turn brought a 10. I thought I was going to get paid off with my 10's full, but I ended up paying off someone with quad 4's.

can't be helped, I go ballistic if I make a trip with a pocket pair and the board pairs. Have yet to lose to quads doing that or even a higher boat.
What would have been a funnier story though is if he had one ace showing and 3 in the hole, staying in till the river. Then you'd be complaining that he should have folded because after all, you had 4 kings showing.Last edited by malignantpoodle; 12-30-2005 at 12:58 PM.
