    Default Quick Omaha Question

Have just started playing some Pot Limit Omaha High. I was wondering what would be considered average/loose/tight for % flops seen? I am looking for hands like Q J T 9 where all 4 cards work together and am throwing away hands like 6 7 K J and Q J 6 5. I'm folding almost as much pre flop as I do in Hold 'Em. Is this normal?

As an example would any of the following hands be playable for you?

    Qs JavaScript 6h 7h

    Ac 2c Ah 9h

    3s 4s Jh Jd

    As Ac 5c 5s

    Qs 7s 4h 3h

I'd play all of those hands except for the last one.

As an example would any of the following hands be playable for you?

    Qs JavaScript 6h 7h - very loose

    Ac 2c Ah 9h - definite play

    3s 4s Jh Jd - loose

    As Ac 5c 5s - definite play

Qs 7s 4h 3h - very loose, if you play this you will pretty much play anything.

Some people play PLO a little more loosely than holdem. If you are seeing more than 35% of flops you are a maniac.

Thats pretty much what I thought Beavis. Am I right in the general principle of wanting all 4 cards to all work together?

    E.g:
    8s 9s 10c Jc

    Is a beter hand than:
    Kc Ks 3h 8d

That is the general rule, and good for beginners, more advanced players play a lot of stuff.

A pair of Ks or Qs and even Jacks are decent, but you really are playing for set value, and after the set you are kind of playing for a boat.

It's ok, but the three hearts hurts it.

The AAxx hands are always playable especially double suited.

The other hands are not very good at all, I might play the JJxx from the button or blinds in an unraised pot. Q734 is utter junk, none of your suits are the nuts and the 34 will make the ignorant end of straights.

Hands like 789T, QQJ9, TJQK, A678 with a suited Ace are what you want to be playing
