Default Stud 8 Value raise or call?

25/50 HOSE (5/10 NLHE, 5/10 PLO, Stud, Stud 8)

Stud 8
Villian is a fairly conservatively player who'll get a tad cute periodically, is very stop n' go at times.

In the hole, I have:

I complete the bet to $25 with the lowest door showing the
Player A folds the
Villian calls showing the
Player B folds the
Player C folds the
Player D calls showing the

4th St.
Me:
Villian:
Player C:

Villian bets $25.
Player C folds.
I raise to $50 to see if I where I was.
Villian calls and I feel good my lo draw and 5's don't seem bad. I was also planning on betting a heart, 5, 6, Ace or lo on 5th.

5th St.
Me:
Villian:

He checks. I bet $50. He calls. Hmm. Weird.

6th St.
Me: 2s
Villian: 3h

We check. What do you guys think here?

River:
Me:
Villian: ?

He bets out $50. I __________?

You had is [ ] ?

Shouldnt the be the bring-in?

I don't know about the other streets, but what is your question on the river?

You have AA55 for the high and A3456 for the low - you raise.

Easy raise and maybe a 3-bet call to. But why you paid the bring in?

I wanted to represent a strong lo draw and take a stab at narrowing the field. When I have the lowest door with a 5, 6, or 7, I like to do this. It sets you up for a steal and cheap draws on the expensive streets.

His call on 5th St. was puzzling to me with what could've been a better lo draw than my 6-5, not to mention that I played the hand like I had completed that draw and have a 6 lo. Villian had a diamond draw, but 2 dead diamonds were shown.

The check on his 3 was suspicious and I figured that the 3 paired a hole card and I checked hoping he'd make 2 pair or a lo, but if the 3 paired, then he had no lo draw.

I did raise and I thought that was elementary, but what do you think of my reasoning to check on 4th? Too passive? Too "tricky" [stupid cute]? Or a good way to maximize?

What do you think Villian has in the hole? Any thoughts? Am I winning half the pot or scooping? (This table wasn't raked. It was timed.)

I think that you are scooping here about 60% of the time. I also think that he has a big nothing here... maybe high card in the hole. Maybe he has miss a draw or something like that. Your check is right there. I think that you need to often check the 4th street but not here. You want to enduce money form your opponent 'cause at this time in the hand you know that you have the best hand.
