Pacific 2/4$ HE, 9 handed
Hero is in the SB with![]()
Preflop
4 limpers from MP, hero calls, BB checks
Flop
![]()
![]()
hero checks, BB checks, 3 more checks then the CO bets, hero raises, BB coldcalls,2 folds, MP3 coldcalls and CO calls.
Turn
this was the best card I could possible hope for, not only did it give me the nuts at this point but it also puts the flush on the board which I think the cold callers must have, so I decide to check
hero checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, CO bets, hero decides to go for overcalls and calls, BB calls and MP1 calls
River
I bet and get 3 callers
I was thinking about this hand and wondering if I screwed up the turn really badly or would others do the same thing?

I think you probably. . .
did the right thing for limit and got as much as you could with the nuts. You kept the pot multiway while you were unbeatable. A check raise would have screamed full house and the flush and flush drawers would have laid it down pretty darn quick.
If it were no limit I probably would have check raised on the turn to isolate the CO and pushed on the river.

No offense but I HATE the turn play. The fact that it completed the flush is the exact reason you want to bet out. Hopefully you get a caller or two, the CO raises you THEN you can decide if you want to three bet or go for overcalls. I would three bet. The other thing is that somebody might have the other Q and they aren't going away no matter what.
In limit you only have a limited number of opportunites to get bets in, don't waste them. Anyone with the A of clubs, a made flush, or a Q is going NOWHERE whether you bet out or not, and everyone else is leaving regardless. So pound every bet you can.
This was Fancy Play Syndrome my friend.
I love the flop checkraise, but you gotta bet this turn.

Yeah I kinda hated my play as soon as I did it, my though process is that it would seem that these cold-callers had to have hit their flush and would bet it out aggressively. I was quite wrong and I realised immediately I should have bet. I know I would have bet if a different Q had come or any 9 or any non-club I would have bet aswell.

why do people constantly want to get fancy with 2/4 players?
bet flop
bet turn
bet river
they call with anything anyway, i dont like to slowplay.
turn is a great card. bet it though you want people to raise so you can reraise!!! also dont go for overalls on the turn - if they are donkey enough to CC 2 on the flop and are going to overcall you when you c/r twice, they will call 2 on the turn. hopefully a raiser will cap as well.
i give the turn play a 1/10
