Just curious, Jd 4d preflop. Noone at table folds on anything. Under normal circumstances would you have suggested a fold or hang in to see the flop? Just curious.

Jd 4d pre-flop...?

Unless your in the SB, and even then, very very easy fold. If your playing hands like this full handed, you have some starting hand requirement problems. I would rather play a 78s than a J4s.

This is actually one of my favorite hands. I could tell you so many stories about Jd4d - I've hit so many straights and flushes with this hand at the right time in big tourneys (primarily live).
But it's always been from the SB or BB against a field of limpers. Easy fold from outside the blinds.

in order to play J4s and other suited crap outside the SB or BB, I would need:
1. stacks large relative to the blinds
2. loose opponents
3. weak opponents (make small bets and raises)
4. opponents that will pay you off
Jack high is probably the lowest I would go with unconnected suited cards.
I play a lot of crap like this early in the turbo MTTs unless I am at a very agressive table.
If people are raising 4+BB preflop and pot sized bets on the flop there is no way to play hands like this.

99% fold.
PS: YOU CALLED WITH JACK HIGH? YOUR DISRESPECTING THE GAME.A good education is expensive but ignorance costs more.

only played from bb with no raises or SB with a bunch of limpers.
Be careful with any flush draw...all those limpers its possible you will lose your stack if you hit your flush.

It is much more likely you won't, unless a 4th of your suit hits.
Fearing flush over flush is silly. If you want to live you can't be afraid to die --- -or whatever.

Be careful here Beav,,,,online people play A anything suited. I ionly mention it cause i got stacked from the SB in exact same spot very recently.
The whole hand I am going......so many people, someone is on flush draw better than mine....be careful...be careful.....
then i hit my flush and lose my stack. oh well. next tourney!

Three years of playing I have busted out a handfull of times with a flush over flush with only 3 to the flush on the board.
Yes it can happen, no it doesnt scare me.
