Hero....???????
Just hit 200/400 blinds and 31 players left.....18 paid
Avg stack....approx 7.5k
UTG and UTG+1 were both playing pretty agressive and raising pf for last few hands.....rest of table playing pretty passive
im figuring i got 2 moves here...push or fold....which is best? a nice little explanation for me would also be much appreciated![]()

What is the stack average? If you push I you're probably getting called and getting in with a coin flip at best I think. Probably up against a big hand with the EP raiser even though he has been playing very aggressive. If you're willing to put your tournament life at risk on a coin flip I might call but I would more than likely fold.

it really depends on what you're trying to do. is making the money very important to you, or would you like to try to set yourself up to win?
If it is the latter, you can actually just call. Best case scenario, you flop a 6. Another thing is you can flop low cards and call/push his continuation bet hoping he has just high cards. Finally, a flop like A-K-x can show up and you can get away from your hand.
You can push of course, but there are a couple of problems. 1) With a chip lead over you, he may call with a hand as weak as Q-10, which you are still just a coinflip against, and 2) there are a lot of people yet to act, and the last thing you want is to call/push and see action behind you.
Weighing all of these options, I think this is highly read-dependable, but without knowing much about the players, I would lean towards a fold.

fold.
your hand is a dog to your opponents possible holdings, you dont have odds to call.

Fold - you're up against an EP raiser (4xBB - fairly strong opener) and have 4 players behind you any of whom can re-raise. 6-6 is 7.5:1 to flop a set. - too little in the wrong position - let it go.

i folded my 66....CO pushed and UTG+1 called him
CO showed 88 and UTG+1 showed A8s.....hit his A on flop.
i went out a few hands later to this same guy (UTG+1) when i pushed against his 4xBB pf raise with KK and he showed A4s......course he hit another A on flop

Well at least you were ahead with the KK when you went in, unlike the 66 if you had pushed.
