I've been SUPER card dead, I haven't seen a flop outside the blinds all tourney. Lost a bit earlier when I had to fold 2 pair on the turn.

eh...could be worse. the problem is, you're only taking 125 chips if they fold, and if you get called you're probably beat. at the same time, you are shortstacked, so maybe not... you might get a call by 88,99, which is ideal, or if you're willing to race, then AK,AQ doesnt look bad either

I'd have to agree. Tough spot to be in with your stack in relation to the blinds. If you raise you put most of your stack out there and when K-Q-7 flops, you're not exactly feeling really great about your hand. Even if you only collect the blinds, it still sets you up to make your next move.

If you're only after what's in the pot at the time, wouldn't a 200-250 bet accomplish the same thing? Even if you're called and decide to fold on the flop you still have 500+/- for another chance. Given a good flop, you can still go all-in.

I'm not suggesting all-in pf is wrong - just that there are alternatives and that they should be used from time to time. This alternative has an exit strategy whereas all-in doesn't.

I think you have to push with your stack. Rought spot to be in picking up no cards and then gettin 1010. I would have done the exact same thing though. You were probably ahead or atleast in a coinflip situation.

Just checking. I don't like being in the situation where there is 500+ in the pot, and 500 in my stack. It's too tough to fold on 1 overcard flops still. I'd rather get the money in now.

I figured I might get some loose calls since I'm a pretty short stack. Say 77+ AK,AQ. I'm actually a slight favorite against that range.

Lots of ways to play that, but the push looks good to me.

Well, if that was your intent (getting someone to call) in the first place, I don't understand your reluctance. The alternative I suggested was for a guy I figured was reluctant to go all-in with T-T but if it was you're intention to get called, you got what you wanted - that's got to make you happy! Or did you lose?
