Not much you can do in that situation, I don't think. Normally I'd say it's better to make a feeler bet on a paired flop like that, but you didn't have the chip stack to to that, and you have to think WFT hand does he have with a '2' in it that he's raising with.

I HATE it when morons like this get that lucky.
I'm CDO. It's like OCD, but everying is in order just like it should be.

That was the only reason I pushed, I thought he would call with overcards at best, maybe a 9 if he was lucky... didnt put him on pocket 9s to be honest.

lol, why would you? Look, you can't win every tourney. Your chipstack is that short, you have to get it in there. All there is to it.
-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.

You made sure he wasn't getting his implied odds to hit his set, so what can you do? You just got unlucky.

BTW, I always make big re-raises with AA & KK in the SNG's. Sure, sometimes everyone folds, but most of the time I get calls, even when I reraise all in.

This hand would have been much more interesting if you had position. If he bet first all-in would have put him on 99 then and folded?

I wouldnt of put him on 99 but there could be a possible 2 really... or even something like KK,QQ or JJ, I gave him more credit for having a higher pocket pair than a 9 - the thought never once crossed my mind...

.. there is nothing else I could of done, Im starting to hate flops like that.... Its like having AA and it comes 678 you just know someone with a 5/9 is going to chase it to the end and possibly even call an all in bet... Its just one of those things.

If I reraise preflop and a guy comes out with an all-in on a 229 flop, I cannot think anything other than he has what he thinks is the nuts. Whether that's 92, 99 or 2x. He wouldn't do it with KK,QQ, etc since he would be afraid of AA. He wouldn't do it with A9.

If you show immense strength pre-flop and somebody goes all in after the flop, that says nuts. If I had position I could and would lay down AA here.

Getting back to actual hand, you didn't have position so you are in a pickle and this goes to show you how important position is in NL.
