Flop: I'm thinking I should have lead out and bet ? I'm almost sure this is where I should have ended it. I don't see him calling 1/2 pot bet here.

Turn: Again, lead out and bet?

River: With really no idea what he has, the push is awful. Check/Fold is probably the best idea in this situation. Although I put him on something like QK, and I figured he would lay it down.

I can't believe I just played that hand... it was awful. Comments? Advice? Anything?

Preflop you didn't raise enough. 2BB won't keep out online limpers, 3-5 will, with a hand like QQ you want it to be heads up over the pot.

Flop, lead out and bet, 3/4 size pot here, you'll find out where you are at, make him pay for the draw, put the odds in your favour.

If he calls, bet you had to suspect your beat, on the turn you now have two overcards and are almost certainly an underdog to anyone who would have called a 3-5 BB raise preflop, check the river, fold to a bet.

Its easy to understand why you played like that, the board was scary, but if the board is scary for you, its probably scary for everyone else, no matter that they have, but with 4 people on the flop its likely theres an ace or a king out there.

Oh well, only played 2 STTs today and lost he first one mainly because of this hand. Although QQ saved me in my other STT.

    QQ push pre-flop, 1 caller with A8.

No ace, and I was saved. Went on to win the STT.

Oh and Gryff, thanks for the advice.

    WEAK WEAK WEAK.

Make it at least 1,000 PF if you're going to do anything here.

On the flop, IF you want to play, and for this price you have to, you need to bet 1,000 - 1,500. I don't like pushing here, because the only hands that are calling you are ones that have you beat, so, a 1/2 pot bet (given you made 1k to go PF) here (1,000) will leave you chip sif he reraises you. And Yes I fold this here to a reraise since I know I'm beat. I'm thinking i need 10-1 odds to call anything here. But I am defiantly NOT CR'ing here against a bettor and a caller. Because its so cheap, I would probably take one off.

Andf your river bet was plain retarded. You got called on your CR on the flop. That means hes got something (usually). Now every card and its brother that beats you has jsut hit, and you push in? Especially in a hand that you showed weakness on the turn.

I admit the hand was played horribly.

The river push was only out of desperation.

    5xBB Pre-Flop? Maybe, but I think I'll go with 3 or 4 next time.

This hand is just another reason I'm semi-retarted.

You are very weak tight as has been noted in previous threads. Get rid of that nasty habit.

There has already been two players entering the pot. So what was a normal sized raise is now an underbet.

You are seemingly having trouble considering your opponents and their actions when approaching how to play a hand. Be more aware of everybody and their actions and how they affect the pot and the their potential holdings.

HAnd values are not static, they are dynamic. QQ is a great hand by itself, by up against KK, you'd much rather have 66. Start thinking above the first level, outside your box.

all i can say is pf, when 2 EP limp, im raising this quite a bit. say up to 8-10bb. Maybe all in if i feel like screwin around.

flop. without looking at show, im cheking all the way prolly. im guessing the 200 bet is a flush draw or J. still i fold.

show. yah we were ahead, but i was a pussy and folded. you made right play on flop. man talk about shitty play with AQ.

not saying you particularly, but I find a lot of people don't like to raise a lot PF because they're scared of situations exactly like this, where overcards appear, so they think they have something to fall back on. Thing is you're raising because you expect to win the majority of the time if the situation presents itself again and again.

woulda raised to at least 1000 preflop.. but the thing is 1k is almost 1/3 of your stack.. and if u raise to 1k, and someone calls.. u will have about 2.6k left in chips, and the pot will be at least 2.7k!.. therefore that doesnt really leave u many chips to make any meaningful bets on the flop and turn.. so i think the better play would be to just go all-in preflop.
