    Default LHE in BB

    Solid player UTG raises
Decentish player cold calls in MP
    SB calls
    What are you playing here?

What are you playing if SB folded?

I don't know if this is a leak or not for me. I'm calling with almost any two suited cards, middle connectors, any pair.

The thing most people immediately critisize me on is "any two suited."

Behind a raise from a EP solid player, I'm playing only pairs TT or better, AK, or AQ from the SB.

My pokertracker stats suggests that the SB was a huge leak. My stats got better once I reverted to playing only solid starting hand values for EP once a raise has been made.

From the BB, I'd probably call one bet with any pair, suited connectors 78 or better, and AK, AQ, or AJ.

With 7:1 pot odds, I'm playing most hands. With SB fold and 5:1 pot odds, I'm still playing a lot of hands. This is assuming at least decent post flop skills.

I'll play any pair, suited connector 45-QK 1 gap suited 57-KJ, AK, AQs, possibly AJs

you have a solid player raising from EP so figure TT-AA, AK, AQ

worse you have a decent player cold calling so figure 88-JJ, AK, AQ

Playing AQ or AJ offsuit is foolish you will be crushed way too often and hitting say QT8 flop is still scary because with 2 players with solid hands they easily could have a pair from 88-AA

Playing offsuit connectors or any 2 suited is wishing on a prayer. best case scenario you hit your draw, do you think you are going to draw to it cheap with 2 good players who both have good hands? With suited connectors you will hit the flop twice as much so it is worth it, when your only hope is a flush or a straight, instead of a flush and a straight, you don't have the odds.

even if it gets bet and raised to you on the flop you have equity to play a good draw - even if you think it will be capped.

But since it was only raised and called that is unlikely. So I would add most suited hands to Steve's list.

playing suited hands because they're suited is a bad idea. especially to multiple opponents showing strength. Raises are big pairs and big suited cards, something J3s or T7s doesn't want to play against.

We arent talking about cold calling with 72s, talking about getting 7:1 on our money. There are several ways to hit hands.

I will stick with Ed Miller's recommendations.

Of course, I am sure at tigther tables, there will not be enough value in the junkiest of these hands that they sure fire folds.

And the definition of "solid" and "decent" also change depending upon the tables. There are going to be a lot of hands in the borderline profitable borederline loser area.

There isn't enough info to get a "perfect" answer.

BTW, do you have the data to prove that calling with J3s is not profitable?

4% to hit 2 pair on the flop 11% to hit a flush draw, that may not be the best (and only 35% to complete) that has a good chance of costing multiple bets post flop. yeah good idea to call
