Early in one of the Stars 180 person $20+2 SNGs. Basically just wondering if this could be termed a good laydown, or just really weak.

Too much like Hellmuth?

My guess would be that I should have raised after the flop to define my hand.
I did, however, go on to do decently in the tournament, finishing 12th after this happened:

assuming no reads.
pre-flop i would sometimes call and see if i can see a cheap flop. there is a good chance you will get paid well if you end up with a good hand (top pair with a good kicker is not allways good enough).
if i am going to raise i prob make the same size raise as you did, if i am re-raised more than a min raise i will fold. Villain made a decent sized re-raise so i would now fold.
on the flop. if checked to i would bet between 1/2 and full pot.
i would not call 520. it makes the pot 1550 and leaves you with around 1500, you cannot call another bet or bet the turn without getting pot committed.
KQs is a trouble hand which i do not think you should get too attatched to this early.

At 10/20 blinds, I'm limping preflop in hand one. No need to put in lots of chips on a weak hand, especially with a limper. See a flop and try to make a hand cheaply here.

Certainly, with such tremendous pot odds that is sound. Pulled it off earlier in a 1 table $10+1 with J8o that flopped two pair and a very nice pot. Was cruising to the money in that until AA gets cracked by KK on the turn against the player #2 in chips, crippling me.

first hands, probably limp or fold KQs that early in a SnG - definitely fold to a reraise.
