Default SnG BB hand Trips with weak kicker.

here is a hand where i flopped trips with a poor kicker, i was unsure how aggressivly to bet and how far to take this good but non nut hand hand on the bubble.

UTG is chip leader and has been playing pretty tight/aggressive. since taking a chip lead he has started limping with more frequency tho.

should i be thinkink that if he actually has a hand with a 9 in it his kicker is either a 8 or 10 or a face card, or should i discount the possibility of his having the other 9?

Damn this is a tight spot.... but I think It would have gone down the same for me too. Up against the only player that can hurt you, and on a bubble too. I'm goign to have to think you're up against KT or so... 9's are too rare..... Looking at the results... Nice river... LOL...... PLay it just as... I think limping with J9o from UTG four handed ois a horrible idea, raise or fold.

I would have played it the same way. Tough hand but it is hard to put him on another 9 it was either all in when he re-raised or fold and I always have trouble folding trips.

As for Jason that is a monster laydown, I guess he gave it a way with what he said but still trips with an A kicker, nice read.

this is not a tough spot.

four handed how often are trips not good?

first round, there may be some question, but I wouldn't fold for kicker worries. In 3 years of play I can count the times I busted with trips getting out kicked on one hand.

IT is a tough spot because you have a marginal hand that is either way ahead or way behind and you can only find out by getting all your money in, and theres the bubble issue where you are 'safely' ITM with your stack comapred to the 2 shorts, and now you may get bounced. Against a shorter stack, I don't have any worries here.

    You are never "safely itm"

and 3 OAK is not marginal 4 handed. Unless he had TT, T9 or 93 you arent even WAY behind.

BTW, these are the hands I wait for.

you played it correctly in my view. big stacks will often try to push around people who check in the BB after they've limped. it often works too. you shouldn't be put off a hand just cause you got lucky!

Tough spot - ya, on the bubble!
    Tough hand - absolutely NO!
If you can't be aggressive with a flopped set playing 4 handed - what the hell can you play aggressively with? 9-9-9 is a powerhouse hand, I don't see any hesitation being called for here.
