Big stack limped in EP. Scared me for some reason and I just froze up. If he isn't in the hand, I call in a second. I had just recently doubled(and more) from like 2500 chips, so that could explain my risk aversion? How much money am I leaving on the table here?

in my experiance moving a short stack in like that is weak hand. AJ-A9 TT-55. Id prolly re-raise his 1.7k. with the change in the pot you getting odds for 45/55 flipping coin vs QQ.
I like busting out or having big CLs so i push here.I get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.

First time I even saw him play a hand. Like I said, this isn't a standard play for me, just had some feeling.(which turned out to be wrong)

Ok, we have two things goign on here, First, hes got a monster and wants action, thats bad. Second, He's got a marginal hand, wasn't thinking right, and limped, we all do that, and he could be too. I call this All-in, but fold to any raise from the CL. Yes, I know thats dumping A LOT of chips, but the only hands that play like this have you dominated, so he's either raising, or folding.

I raise to chase the limper...
Man... The worst is a coin flip here... no way this guy have AA or KK
Probably Ax or a mid PP Maybe even KQ or KJ.
And if you raise and he shows the Ks you still have a few outs plus the Flush... AA... well what can you do... will happen some times but you will still have 4.5K in front of you.

I don't see raising to chase the limper way to be of ANY use. He's folding the majority of the hands that are limpable from that spot, and anything he's going to play, he;s probably pushing, and you have to fold , Because we have to given at least one of them credit for a pair and the other an Ace, or some combination of, and thats just bad news for AK.
Raising to isolate only pot commits yourself on a hand that we can be pretty sure we're a HUGE dog.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

With you chip stack and a strong starting hand I am surprised you folded. I would have put him on JJ or lower. I would figure I have to overs and take the chance of taking someone out.

Anyways the point to all who missed it: without the limper this is an easy call, even if he is the tighest player in the world, but this guy who limped scared me. I had agut feeling about it and I played accordingly. What I'm trying to say is: you sometimes need to listen to your feelings, even if they occasionaly turn out to be wrong :O
