BB bets t800, Hero calls t800.

Final Pot: t4200

Results in white below:
BB has Kd 3d (flush, king high).
UTG doesn't show.
Hero has Qs 9s (two pair, queens and jacks).
Outcome: BB wins t4200.

I know I should have bet the turn, but I felt maybe he was on AJ from his previous play.

Flop I'd bet a bit more.

Turn I'd bet 400 just to tease.

River I'd call.

Fold on the flop or just call it down - your kicker is too weak and you missed your flush; you're on thin ice here.

BB played it nicley thou, don't you think?

Edit: opps - this is a tournament!! Pre-Flop FOLD - not worth the chips. and the BB did play it weak but then again he still didn't have his flush yet. Maybe he figured 800 was all he could get on the river?!

Seems like a fine example of the kind of confusing situation that can all too easily arise from playing marginal hands. You don't know where you stand, so you under- or over-bet, either one of which can easily compound the situation. Since you're not in a position where you need to try to make something happen, I'm with Marm. Keep it simple and fold.

I would have also folded pf. Even though you hit your Q someone could be in with Q10 or up and have you crushed. You are just hoping to hit you flush and it wouldn't even be the nut flush.

Even if you call pf, after flop you should have folded to the bet, since you re-raised on the flop you should have bet on the turn - this is were you lost the hand. You should have made it too expensive for him to keep chasing his flush.

Again I would not have even played the hand.
