I have a lot of problem defending against sb call preflop and represent flop strategy.
*****
$11, 800
50/100, Bubble, my chips 1000, villain 1000 sitting on my right. Chip leaders both 3000.
1st round.
sb calls. I bb check with rags. Flop, Sb bets 100. I fold.
2nd round.
Same thing. This time I raise 200 with nothing on flop. sb calls. Sb bets 100 on turn. I raise 300. Sb folds.
3rd round.
Sb pulls the same trick. I fold flop this time.
4th round.
Villain would not quit and did the same thing. I minraise flop and raise 3bb turn with nothing. Both checks on the river. He has middle pair.
How do I defend against this?
1. Keep checking and calling?
2. Wait until I have something? We have the same stake and blinds are high.
3. Play back at villain with nothing?
4. Best judgement? I have no read on this guy.
****
Another situation. 50/100
3 players. sb and I same stake 2000. sb bets 200 on the flop. I bb K5 have nothing. I feel that 80% sb has nothing too, I also feel that after watching him play if I raise/push 90% he will call, I dont want the situation to turn into coin flip yet, I know calling is really bad play, but I read somebody said something about checking and calling bluffers, so I did a bit of experiementation and call to the river with sb bets of 200. His K7 hit 7 on the river.![]()
I need serious advice, guys. Advance thanks.![]()

If you're a tight player, there is no effective defense against blind stealing by a smart opponent.
But this guy doesn't seem so smart. In example 1, your M is about 6, so I'm all in with any 2 cards if he just completes. And frankly, I'm hoping he calls, because I sure do need those chips he's got. If that's the end of me, then that's the end of me.
When you're low M like this, you've gotta be ready to take some chances. Better to bust out with 72 than get blinded away waiting for hands that never come.
But check out "The Theorem of Blind Stealing" here:

You have 10 bb in your stack. I don't know why you're even seeing a turn...
I'm always defending my blinds with mediocore hands in deep stack tourneys, but in this situation when he limps you should probly push. If you raise to 300 and he comes over the top what are you going to do? Fold?“There's no sense in being precise when you don't even know what you're talking about.” - John von Neumann
