We all know the common pots odds scenario like having a nut flush draw after the flop. We can easily calulate what amount we should be calling in both limit and NL cash games.
However, I am getting the feeling that there is a difference in the decision process between cash games and MTTs. It's pretty straightforward that in cash games you play for the long term goal of betting with good odds and folding with bad odds.
However, in an MTT, I am starting to feel that the actual amount of the bet compared to your stack, regardless of the good odds your are getting, is also an important consideration.
I mean NL tourneys here. I realize you can play draws aggressively in NL and perhaps win pots without even needing more cards.
But does anyone here lay hands down that have good odds but the amount of the bet is too high?

Cash versus MTT for odds...

If you have the correct odds to call, but calling will leave you forced to call the next bet or be crippled, you might as well push in. The only time I will really fold hands that I am getting odds, is the rare situation where survival is more important than building my stack. Like when I'm on a short stack on a bubble.
It is almost always incorrect to fold in situations where you have correct odds.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
