Pokerstars does it again. The kid later tells me he has a program that tells him whats coming. This is not the first time I've seen discussions like this. It leads me to believe. Are there any geeks out there that can make such a program or is it bs?

Poker prediction programmes
I've got an interest in this.. my background is maths, physics, programming. One of the reasons I play poker is because I am interested in the Maths/AI part of it.. The money's nice but its the challenge that keeps me going.
I've looked at a lot of data on PS and come to the conclusion that the cards fall fairly. For example my AA play gives me 78% success against 1.2 players -exactly what you'd expect. PS uses a thermal random number generator and combines it with another random generator derived from mouse movements of all players (overkill in my opinion). There's a lot of discussion on this at 2+2 but the bottom line is that PS has more to lose by fixing games in favour of any group of ppl than it does by not bothering. It's the rake that finishes off newbies and it does so very quickly. Good players like Kid/Goose/ Alex (I've never played) are successful because they play well.. they are also very good at intimidating other players
.. for example.. now you know that Kid has this programme I'd guess you give up the blinds every time he raised
...
Any poker session is defined by three of four hands - good or bad. you had a bad beat (sort of) but this happens. Strong players are defined by how well they take the beats. In retrospect you might have played the hand above differently but thats easy to say. You also might think about River Rats. So many ppl complain about River Rats.. but I like them.. for every River Rat that hit his 88 trip on the river against my top pair there are 11 river rats facing face down in the water down stream. The reason that new guys play is that thay stand this small chance of winning against a good player - if that chance wasn't there they wouldn't play. I've grown to view being rivered as part of the mechanism of getting newbie money on the table and I don't mind paying for it.
Having said all this I must admit I have seen something a little odd.. and I'd like the multi-tablers to comment. I have often seen on PS cards on the flop of one table that are the same as ones I am dealt shortly after (seconds) as my hole cards on anoher table. It is quite possible that the random number generator kicks the same number out to two tables that ask for cards at the same time.. However.. I've not been able to exploit this.. or indeed I'm not convinced that it actually happens as there is a 'theory of local representation' thing going on and PT isnt advanced enough to let me look into it further ....
ITS THE WEEKEND!!!! Anyone going fishing???See me playing $10/$20NL like it was play money

Personally, I think I'd have called him on it and offered to transfer 50 bucks to his account if he could give the flop, turn and river of the next hand. That's double buy-in for the table he's playing at...that should be enough for a put-up or shut up sort of situation seeing how he's at a $25 max buyin table.
Seriously...if you were smart enough to make such a program, would you use it at a .10/.25 table?
And in the off chance I have to pay it off, its worth at least 50 bucks for me to know to flee the site.

I think you played too agressively preflop. Should have just called at one point and stopped reraising. Aren't you the slightest bit afraid of AA? And maybe he does only have AK or QQ... but if you see the flop, and there's nothing there, then you can be much more confident about going all in there.. (raising, leading to an all in)... I dunno.. I just avoid going all in preflop unless it's multiway or I have AA.

I agree but from table play I knew he didn't have it. I was not afraid in this hand to be beaten by AA, thought he had a lower pair, like QQ or something. Who in their right minds calls all in, big bet, with 6 9 suited?

Be happy. Even though you lost the hand, you really won in the long run(EV+).
You want them to win sometimes. It keeps them coming back and it keeps them praying for miracle cards.
