I have never been able to fold KK pre, even if someone moves all in on me I figure there is only one hand better than mine at the time so I have to call and pay them off if they have it. AKs is tough but depending on the players involved and the way they bet I have been able to let it go. AKo is much easier to fold.

Just been playing a $25 max buy-in no limit table at Paradise. Blinds 10/25c.
I`ve got around $28 (i`m down but have replenished my stack by $10 or so)
I`m under the gun with AA. I raise to $1 hoping to get a re-raise on what has been a loose 9 player table. Sure enough a guy in mid position with $70+ who`s been very active re-raises to $3. The button goes all-in with his last $8 and i decide to re-raise to $20 to hopefully shut mp out. He thinks for like two minutes and finally folds.
Anyway the AA holds up against the buttons 45off (yeah wtf?) and mp says he laid down KK. I believe him.
Funny thing is he`d have won as the board came 4JQT9. A big debate followed and the concensus was that with so many maniacs at the site he should have called.....even though i`d been playing fairly tight.

he definately should have called...
in a cash game you never lay down KK!
Ok of course he can put you on AA, but he will be wrong at least 75% of the time!
This, combined with the fact he also can hit his K and that he only have to call 17$ in a 31$ pot gives him the odds to, at least, call!
Any way nice hand!

Thanks.
He said later on that he`d been up $50 or so the previous night and lost it all and that he didn`t want the same thing happening again. But yeah, if your too careful at cash games with hands like that your missing out on some nice payoffs.

I never lay down KK, even to suspect AA.
AK many many many times.

Since I play mostly limit, I've never laid either down...and I'll cap if given the chance with either hand. I don't know that the few times I've played in tournaments a situation has happened that would make laying either of them down a good play.
