LOL - I guess we should thankful some people feel A3 a good enough hand to call a raise with, I just don't like limit because I never feel as though I can protect my hand properly from this sort of thing.

People cold-calling raises with dominated hands is going to make you money in the long run, not cost you it. They stop doing that, all of a sudden you have to beat GOOD hands to win pots.
So they win one in four. Big deal... I make up for it the other 3.-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.

I suspect you already know the answer but since you asked - Start by stop throwing it away! If you KNEW dianea had the set, you HAVE to fold! Calling down to sd just to confirm what you already know may help you sleep at night but it also drains your bankroll! There is a reason a good laydown is called a GOOD laydown - saving bets on lost causes is GOOD! You know all this - right?

I think that post is the catharsis I needed after that hand.

If the villian were my mother, and I were talking to her on the phone during the hand and she said "son, I have A3 - fold and save your money" I still wouldn't fold.
After the hand I would call her a fucking donkey that doesn't even know how to spell poker.
