    Default Was I too aggressive?

This was a hand from a good losing session I had the other day, where nothing was panning out. It seems like on days like this I tend to get a little more aggressive after taking some beats (is that possibly a leak?) and when I think I have a hand I push it hard to put pressure on my opponents and either put them all in if I have them covered or go all in myself. The table was pretty much a standard ML table w/chasers, raise with any 2 suited cards, stay in a hand with any ace, etc.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed) converter

    MP1 ($3.04)
    MP2 ($1.92)
    MP3 ($2.29)
    Hero ($3.01)
    Button ($5.86)
    SB ($2.03)
    BB ($1.95)
    UTG ($1.08)
    UTG+1 ($3.38)

Preflop: Hero is CO with , .
    UTG raises to $0.08, 3 folds, MP3 calls $0.08, Hero calls $0.08, 2 folds, BB calls $0.06.

    Flop: ($0.33) , , (4 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, MP3 checks, Hero bets $0.2, BB folds, UTG calls $0.20, MP3 folds.

    Turn: ($0.73) (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $0.8, UTG calls $0.80 (All-In).

    River: ($2.33) (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Final Pot: $2.33

    Results in white below:
UTG has Ts Tc (three of a kind, tens).
Hero has Ah Qc (one pair, aces).
    Outcome: UTG wins $2.33.

You played it spot on, maybe a reraise PF, but oh well, you got beat, nothing you can do.

I would have been suspicious when the PF raiser check-called the flop. That just screams trap.

Not at this limit, it could mean they have 3 to a Inside straight... Trying to think on the second level here is a waste of time, and will actually hurt you.

I believe the more common term is 'Tilt' although I don't see where either term applies to this hand. You got slowplayed - tell me you haven't done exactly the same thing or won't again!

Good, that I can accept happening (although I don't like it) but if I make the right plays and just get beat fine.

Aces-o-8's I'm not saying I won't... the thing that annoys me is when someone playes the way he did with an A,8 off and the board falls the same way.

Now you have me confused; your original post showed him with pocket 10s - not A-8o! Also, the board had 3 hearts on it so you had to factor in a possible flush along with a possible Ace high str8. The guy was calling along for some reason - what did you suppose it was?
This doesn't apply to this hand (as UTG was all-in on the turn) but otherwise, if a guy is calling along I have to figure him for a drawing hand or he's giving me rope to hang myself - if I smell a rat I check thru (or check-call) on the river! You only had a single pair, you had to know you could be beat - and in this case was! Sometimes tilt is self-inflicted - the brushes on my forehead and the dents in the wall can attest to that!

Guy could just as easily been calling with KQs. If he makes the backdoor flush on me, I pay it off. Frankly, his slowplay is somewhat risky with this board, and it would be hard not to put him on a spade draw.

Now you could say that he overbets the turn, which "technically" maybe he did, but his $ is going in on the river anyway, so might as well put it all in on the turn and try to push him off any draw.

At these limits (which I have played), people keep calling with any piece of crap hand, so in the long term its probably -EV to fold top pair good kicker in this situation.

    WHAT??

IF I'm folding TPTK, then wtf and I am supposed to play? I (and a few others here) built out bankrolls from hardcoring the mucro limits. I have over 20k hands at stars .05/.10, and TPTK was one of my best hands. In fact, since this guy never played back at us, on the turn, I'm thinking we're 90%+ to win here.

Yes the play crap, but you need ta charge them for doing so, IF he DOESN't Put him all-in by the turn here, he screwed up. If this was Limit, he would have been wrong not to cap every street, including the river, even after the runner flush hits.
