What happened on the first hand.. cause yeah, that willinfluence my decision. But I'm 60% calling, 40% raising here.

Only QJ beats me, and he wants to get into a raising war? Lots of hands he could have here. I think you push the value of this hand here, regardless of his previous play.
I'm all in. I'm Rick James, biatch.

Well I called instead of reraising, and he has

I think you just put that in the "shit happens" category and move on. Always sucks when someone beats you when you have the cooler (is that how you spell that?) and he's got the nuts, but I think if you're going to call you've really got to raise all in to to push this hand for it's full value since you're already in so deep here (I mean, it's only one dollar more).

I like the idea of raising on the turn although I think it'd be tough to lay down a reraise with TPGK and an OESD. But in theory would that have been the best play to get information then? Seems like the last few days have been alot of hands that were "he's only got me if he has "x" hand" and it's been turning out, he has it and I've been all in already or pushed
.

The reason I'd lay it down to a big reraise on the turn is this: What am I beating right now?

Ak-A8 - all have 2 pair or better kicker. AK & AQ a little less likely to be slow played on such a scary board, but some people will do it with AK/AQc.
KQ - would have folded (KQc would have just called)
Pocket T's, 9's, 8's - All have a set and I'm just leaning on my straight draw (another ace gives him a full house)
KK, QQ, JJ - would have bet out on the very scary flop, and would they really reraise me with an ace on the turn?
QJ - he's got the nuts
So really, what hand could he have reraised with on the turn that I'm beating? Just A2-A7. Easy fold if he reraises on the turn. If he bluffs me out, then bully for him (If you never get bluffed out, you're calling way too much).
Now, on the river, I've made the 2nd best hand possible, so I'm going to push it for full value.

Jason thanks for the advice :good: gotta start trying things like this at the table, and hopefully work all that out quick enough in the time I have. I have tightened my game up considerably, maybe I should lean towards being a little more aggressive on the hands I'm playing as well.
