    Default Why I shouldn't multi-table 6 max high speed.

    Doh!

I thought I had the nuts till the river, wasn't really paying attention. Though I doubt I would have done much differently except maybe check calling the river. I really need to pay more attention. After this hand I stopped, and just play this one table.

Anyway, by the time it got to the river, I realized a straight was possible but I didn't put the BB on a str8 with his flop play.

You didn't mention the BB was an over-aggressive maniac!
The pf raise to 3 bets told me he had a big pocket pair (although one of the most misplaced raises I see in Hold'em is the SB/BB re-raise with just over-cards like A-K or A-Q). Your capping the pf raise was kind of useless (although if I were the Button I probably would have folded - was that your intention?) and I doubt I would have capped with just a pocket pair of Jacks - calling the 3 bet re-raise mades best sense to me.
The flop bets confirms in my mind the BB has a big pocket pair Aces or Kings and that the Button is a moron - gawd bless them and their chips! At this point there is no way anyone could put the BB on a 8-6o based on the betting pattern. The fact that he pf and flop raised to 3 bets and called the cap to such a hand is both dumb (bless him too for he shall pay more than he get paid) and unreadable (Phil Hellmuth's "Jackal").
He got lucky and you got a bad beat - Except for capping the bets pf, I would have played the same.

heh, I just played the hand on auto-pilot.

People will often 3 bet with any ace, I'll cap 5 handed with JJ most days. Flopping the set and his flop action, I obviously didn't put him on a str8 draw.

Oh well it's a crazy game.....gotta love it

I was fairly new to the table only 15 or so hands, I wasn't aware he was a Jackal at the time. It's guys like these that play short handed that create the greatest/most frustrating players of the them all...the calling stations.
So many players with 50% +VPIP and 0.5AF...god bless them. I really don't like to play maniacs, they can take a bite out of your buy-in fairly fast.

Yea, WELL HE SUCKS. You were unlucky, and I wouldn't have played your hand any differently.

Yes, you didn't have the nuts...but who in their right mind would've thought he was betting with 68o?
Chuck Norris put the "laughter" in manslaughter..
