    Limit Omaha 8

The table is fairly tight/passive with 3 or 4 people seeing the flop.

You're in the SB with . 2 limpers, you complete, BB checks.

I don't like just check/calling, so then its either bet out or check/fold. I choose bet out, as you described the table as tight/passive you might just win the pot right there and if you do get called you can assume you are behind, but still have outs, if you get raised, then you can just dump it.

I check-fold in this instance. You have 3 outs to the nut low and all your other draws are runner-runners. Then again, I play Omaha 8 very tight but aggressive. If I don't have at least 2 good draws, I dump the hand and wait for a better spot.

15 outs to 2nd or nut low (4 to nut low), 8 of which will also give you a flush draw and 2 others (the 2 other 5s) will give you an open ended straight draw. Plus a bunch of inside straight possibilities.

you also have 8 high outs to improve to a flush draw (1/2 of which are the nut flush) and 2 7s that could give you trips. there are 27 cards that will improve your hand, not to a nut hand but to a pretty strong hand since any low card will give you some type of straight draw and 8 of which will give you a flush draw to.

I ended up betting out, not to pick up the pot neccasarilly, although I wouldn't mind this, but because this hand will win its fair share of the time and scoop a good amount to. So I wouldn't mind narrowing the field either in case another 7 comes or I end up with a small spade flush.

BB folds, 2 limpers call. Turn card was the ,

Now I would be willing to go to war with this hand, 2nd nut low with some backup, open ended straight draw, and small flush draw with 2 outs to a straight flush and only 2 opponents.

I bet again both limpers call. River . Not a good card but I still have some type of low and aces up. I bet out again and both players take forever to call, one has A5J6, the other has 2446. I got quartered but clearly had the best hand on the turn with the best draws.

    Thoughts?

i check/call here. The last thing i want to happen is to get raised. I want see the turn for as cheap as possible, because in this case, that's where im going to find out what my hand is. If I completely miss the turn, with a card like then i can get out right there to any action, and with the minimum amount lost (0 or 1 bets on the flop). If i get raised on the flop, im putting in 2 bets before the hand has really "opened up" for me, and i don't like to do that. Just my opinion...

(However, if you think there's a good chance you can take the pot right there based on the table, then I say go ahead and bet out)

How is check/calling going to find out where you are, as opposed to betting out? If you bet out and get raised, you know for sure that you are pretty well behind (and will only be going for the low) and can just toss the hand away.

What happens when you check/call and a kinda good card hits, you're still stuck because you don't know what you are up against with just a bet and a couple of calls on the flop, though Im not exactly an expert on Omaha8.
