Default full house on AAA board

this is a hand from a live ring game held at a card room in a casino.

the game is PLHE, the min and max buy in is £25 and the blinds are both £1.

the game is similar to low buy-in online ring except that it is the only game going and so there are about 3 good experienced players at the table. if there is no raise then about 7 players will see a flop. the usual raise pre flop is either £4 or £5 and gets 1 or 2 calls. occaisionally someone will bet the pot and make a larger rise.

i have around £25 and opponent around £40

i limp from UTG with and see the flop with 7 players.

    board is

i am not concerned with anyone having the A and decide someone may think i am bluffing and call down with a high card (this is consistet with how the table plays) i am aware someone may have a lower FH and give me all their money and that there is a chance i will go broke on this hand.

    i bet £5 and MP(loose) calls.

turn is a 6, i decide to show a weakness and check, he bets £5 i raise all-in.

any oppinions on how i played this?

yeah, looks fine... although it would depend whether the guy would raise pre-flop if he had a high pair (which he obviously didnt if you only limped in)

so do we get to know what happened? its like the end of an episode of neighbours

    I am guessing he folded.

i reckon he would have called if you re raised in which case you could have got some more chips from him.

maybe a raise of 10 would have been suitable

yeah, thinking about it, a re-raise would probably have been better (after a looooooooong pause to represent that youre bluffing)

The problem with 3 of a kind flops is that if the player has the case card they probably wont bet it till the river in NL, and most likely the turn in limit.

Here it is a good aggressive play with your 7s, though alot depends on what the guy will play. Betting is usually the right move, getting re-raised....now thats where the problem comes in.

what does case cards mean - the fourth of a kind?

In this case i disagree - if they have 4 aces then they would at least put a few bets in. why would you wait to the river to try and get the chips.

(after a looooooooong pause to represent that youre bluffing)
I wouldn't get too tied up into this sort of stuff, unless you know your competitors well - whenever someone pauses and puts in a bet online, they usually have the best hand, and i think most people can sense this.

I didn't like the check raise, because if he checked behind you he is getting a free shot at his probable overcard to hit the board. Since you raised PF, I am assuming he probably has 2 overcards to the board.

I can't put him on ace, so I am betting about 1/2 pot to take it down now or remove his odds for a 6 outer while i am still ahead.

With that said......since you did check, I have to say I dont like the push because he will only call it if you are beat already. I would have raised about 1/2 pot.

Didn't do math....1/2 pot here may be all in anyway....if thats the case, then ignore me.

There is no reason to bet if you have the ace right here, you have the absolute nuts and there is no way possible you can lose, you are hoping your oppenent has kq or something along those lines and hits a k on the turn/river giving him a full boat and thinking "wow i got a boat there is no way he has the ace im gonna bet off it"
If there wern't luck involed i guess id win everyone
