id say he prolly hasnt played a lot and has a flush, i dont think there is any reason you should call this either because there is so little chips in the pot

I dunno... if there's more then a 50% chance that he's bluffing it's profitable to call there I think.

If he has a flush he checked it on TWO streets. If he had the top pair, he checked it TWICE. If he was that concerned about checking to try and get more money in the pot, why the massive auto-fold bet on the end?

A fishy play like that I think there's at least a 50% chance someone has been watching too much ESPN, and I may call. But I also would have bet out for information on the flop.

My guess... your 8 is good 70% of the time in this situation.

    What I do... i fold!

3 out of 10 times your out of the tournament here.

7 out of 10 times you rack the pot but your not garanteed to make the money anyway.

And BTW... next time fold that hand early in a tourney.

    KJ

    I believe it's 2 handed.

yea im easily folding but your asking if your 8 is good...well that depends on the player i guess. I cant really see any player who might have made a boat or trips checking the flop after u did. Maybe he flopped a flush. Maybe hit trip 4s on the river. Or has another small pocket pair and decides he'd buy it on the river. But like i said i cant call this.

Also, since it appears like you haven't played with this guy much yet(chip stacks almost even), I def. wouldn't call this. I usually never call an all-in in a HU match within the first 15 hands unless I have a dominant hand b/c I like to feel out my opponet and see how he plays. Maybe he slowplays alot. Maybe he has one bet (all-in). This does seem like a very strange bet, but you don't know if its his norm or not yet. Too many unknowns for me to call this. You have to be 50% sure he's bluffing for this call to be profitable (I think). I'm not sold on the fact that he's bluffing 50% of the time.

If I had to really put him on a hand, I'd say he has 44. He catches the boat on the river, and REALLY hopes you had the flush and were slowplaying it. I might even make the same move in this spot. They're probably not going to call you anyways, so you might as well make the bet suspicious.

Throw this hand away, there is almost no money in the pot. Why risk your stack with a marginal hand for almost nothing?
