    Thumbs down Throw AA away...

Are you able to throw away Aces, a couple of times I knew I was beaten but i felt like I had to call...Shame on me!

I could thro them away if I don't raise and there's a lot of limpers (early in a tourney from early position) and the board is coordinated or pairs.

But if I raise and get 2 callers and the flop come : KQ10, I find it very hard to throw away, but might be against a set, 2 pairs or a straight.

Do you throw them a way if there's a lot of action ex: you raise, re-raise, all-in? I guess i would too.

What if you are 3rd to talk and there's a raise and a re-raise? How d you see them?

on most flops that come like that (K-Q-10), or most flops period, if there is a lot of action, (i.e. bet, raise, reraise; or even just bet, raise,) depending on the type of players they are, i throw it away. most people aren't raising, and especially not REraising, without at least 2 pair. I cant figure i'm a favorite anymore, and by this point i've worked up enough discipline to be able to throw them away. just toss 'em and smile when you know you would have lost

If I bet out with aces after the flop and I'm reraised, I'll usually toss them. I agree with nu2 that most people won't rereaise with just top pair...they usually have a set or at least 2 pair.

That's not really accurate. At low limits I am betting the crap out of Aces.

I should have qualified that statement. If I'm new to the table, or I haven't been paying close attention and I don't have any idea how the person who just raised is playing, then I'm going to fold.

If I've seen the guy raise with nothing and showdown nothing, then I'm capping. I've had aces busted too many times to feel comfortable re-raising and capping a player I don't have a read on.

Limit or no limit? Post a specific hand history. I'd post some hands of me folding aces but I can't find any where it was a tough decision.

In No-limit, I throw away Bullets fairly often especially when I play them aggressively and I end up getting re-raised, you can usually tell when they are no good.

In Limit, I'll usually "Elephant" my way down to the river if there is only one other opponent and he is re-raising my re-raises, especially since I play AA as aggressive as possible. I will toss them with multiple opponents when the betting is capped on the flop, I'll always bet and or re-raise the flop with AA. Again you can usually tell when your aces are dead. So basically if someone beats my AA heads-up I'll pay them, but I won't pay with multiple opponents betting their asses off.

I have only folded AA once or twice in limit.

3rd spade hit the turn, I checked, it was bet and raised back to me, I dumbed, they both had flushes.

Folded Aces once in a NL touranment, board paired the high card.

I folded KK or QQ in a HU SnG with no overcards on the board when the top card paired. I would have folded aces there too.

You'd fold it pre-flop? Unless we're on the bubble I'd happly call with AA pre-flop.
I'm CDO. It's like OCD, but everying is in order just like it should be.
