By hiding the strength of my hand, I wasn't trying to trap anyone or something like that. With an ace on the flop, people will call you down with AT, AJ since you didn't raise PF. As I said earlier though, this is not a normal play I make. Leading out with this hand was a mistake though. Without the perfect flop, I should have laid this hand down.

Joe,
I understand what you are saying. The point you are missing is that you should only try this when you will have position. Out of position its a definate no-no. I understand that this is a just a "vary your play" tactic and not indicative of your normal play, but let position be your randomizing factor. If you want to limp 5-10% with these hands (I don't nec agree for online play), then simply tell yourself you will only limp with this hand from the button or one off the button. That should help you to stay on the proper % and avoid having to play this hand out of position with no information on your opponent.

I am refering to the pre-flop play. There were a series of limpers who were going to have position on him that he let play. In this situation a raise is a must regardless of any thought about varying your play.

i personally never limp with a big hand just because i dont want 72 seeing a free flop and hitting a monster on the flop, i would much rather raise and atleast take down the blinds
If there wern't luck involed i guess id win everyone

Ooops, you're right. His position in the first half of the hand was bad until he was heads up.

Same as everyone else, preflop limp with that many in the pot is asking to be kicked in the teeth. What flop can you be happy with short of AKx?
But I agree the min reraise on the turn was a big hint.
