Default BAD BEAT OR BADLY PLAYED?

I was playing a $750 freeroll at betfred poker today.I know, another crazy freeroll with a small prize pool but still $180 for first isn't to bad.lolStill i would be interested in how some of you would have played this hand.Sorry i am going to make this longform as i dont quite get how to make these posts as some of you do in this section.

Anyway there is about 90 players left out of 1000 and blinds are at 1-2000.I have about 14500 in chips and am on the big blind when i pick up pocket jacks. Two players fold and early position 3 calls for 2000,next player raises to 4000 and it gets folded around to me at which point i just flat call as i am out of position and i will be able to get away from this hand if i dont like the flop.
I am almost sure that i am not up against a high pocket from the raiser at this point for reasons that would be to long to go into here. The other caller could be on anything as i have no read on her whatsoever.Still i dont want to commit fully in this spot with jacks.

The flop comes down 3-4-6 rainbow and i like it.There is 13000 in the pot so i push my remaining 10000 almost certain that the raiser is on two high cards. The other player i dont have a read but playing very loose so i think i got the best hand.I get two calls at this point???The turn comes a 5 and the first player now pushes all in and gets called by the raiser. What the hell is going on here. Now i figure i read wrong and the raiser had a big pocket afterall.

Your gonna love this the early position caller turns over A-7 off for a straight and the initial raiser turns over A-9 off for absolutely nothing. The river comes a queen and she wins a huge pot calling a 10000 all in with A-7 off and gets lucky on the turn. What the hell did they think i had.I mean even if i was on top pair 6 a call with A-7 off is horrible and the A-9 is even worse in my opinion.

My question is would any of you have played the jacks differently in this spot at this stage of the tourney.I would be interested on how some of you would have played it.GL AT THE TABLES

Well at that point in the freeroll, where everyone is trying to make the money, if you think you have the best hand, you should push PreFlop, sure you could get outdrawn but if you push, you have 2 ways of winning the hand, everyone folds or you win with the best hand,Im no tourny expert this is just my opinion, your table image would also come in play at this point, alot of it depends onthe situation and your reads.

i dont think you should have called 4000 with a stack of 14000.

there is enough in the pot for you to be happy if you win it here, given the reads you had i would prob push here.

also you have enough for under 5 orbits, i would be looking for a chance to double

Your M is 5 and you are holding Pocket Jacks? Grab all of your chips and slide them into the middle..........and this coming from me....the guy who is always coming up with reasons not to push pre-flop.

You win this hand if you push.
