Default Sitting down at a ring table

When you sit down and they ask you if you want to post the BB (from any position) what should you?

I think I know that the common practice is, regardless of your position, you wait till the BB position hits you before blinding up. I usually will put up the blind if I'm in the CO, CO-1 or CO-2...

Is this really wrong and why?

no this is standard. If I have to wait more than 3 hands I post online, live I wait unless I'm 1 or 2 behind the button.

I'm also very well known for posting a live straddle under the gun, but I wouldn't reccomend doing this. I just do it to have fun.

If i sit in certain games at the woods and I'm UTG some of the dealers and players will just yell out straddle!

Trons, if you are talking live then just post unless you only have to wait 1-2 hands. Otherwise you look like a rock and people will coming gunning at you until they figure out otherwise. The only people that wait 6 or 7 hands here are the retired rocks propped up by oxygen tanks.

Online I usually wait, it is only like 2 minutes max, and it seems whenever I post somebody raises just because you posted.

post in CO or BB only.

i want to play in a straddle game. i think it would be fun. they should have separate rooms online that autostraddle. i tyhink i'd be up for some lowe-limit donkfesting every once in a while.

    also kill seems fun
