ok. when dealt mid PP such as 88,99, or TT in early position(with a full table) do you raise, limp or fold? Ok, first off many factors go into affect but lets assume its in the mid-way point of a live tourney. i usually play this a lil different every time depending on the familiarality(sp?) of my opponents. now the problem with raising when youre in early is that you fear the re-raise which if its large enough i dont think you can call(again pot odds) but if you just smooth call you let a lot of people in on a hand thats not gonna fair well multi-way. i also look at the opponents chip count if theyre sittin low and theyre after me to act i usually fold this. these hands can be played a lot of different ways just wanted some input as to how all you doyles, sklanskys, and harringtons play em![]()

In a tourney? Mostly raising it.

I'd raise almost all of the time, please don't limp , you're throwing away money and playing far too passive for the midpoint of a tourney

the tourneys i play live 95% of the time have 100 ppl-120 minimum. so the midpoint would still have about 50-60 ppl in. i can see limpings not a strong move but what happens when you get re-raised? you almost have to dump.

IF...
its a big if. What if everyone folds to your raise. You have to pop it, don't limp in. If someone min raises you and you sense weakness, pop them back and watch them run away with their tail between their legs. If it gets raised by a tight player then just call and see a flop, if you hit you're if otherwise you're out after the flop. You can raise with these hands just don't get attached to them.

What's happened before you? If there are other limpers, I'd tend to limp with those (except maybe TT, which I'd probably bump). If you're the first to get in the pot, then raise. If there is a raise in front of you, then it kind of depends on what you've seen them raise with in the past and how many are already in.
I'm CDO. It's like OCD, but everying is in order just like it should be.
