Default Tell me where this guy is wrong?

    The thread is here

KJ vs 4 all-in could very likely be a 7:1 dog."

If the 4 all in opponents ahead of you had AA,AK,QQ &KK the worst possible situation your KJs would be a 6-1 dog NOT 7-1 !!!!!
    (AA= 62.9 % to win / KJs= 10.2% to win)
The situation was 3 people go all in ahead of you, you have KJs. You are getting 4:1 odds.

Can you tell me, based on this guys calcs, why 6:1 is so wrong? I would like new people to answer this first.

for someone not familiar with stats/prob calcs, this could be a very common mistake.

Who cares? 6:1 7:1 its a bad call.

Even if you are 120% to lose and 10% to win, your still 8:1 right?

Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

he seems to be wrong in alot of ways...

    e.g. 10% chance is worst than 1-6

plus AA,AK,QQ &KK is not the worst situtation for KJs

if he went up against AQs (same suits), KK, QQ, & QJ ...in which case the only way he can win is by hitting both remaining jacks, or T,9,8,7 suited...about a 100 to 1 shot...

the thing to bear in mind is that 57% of statistics are made up...
I love him who is ashamed when the dice fall in his favour and who then asks: Am I then a cheat? for he wants to perish.

I think the worst scenario would be KK JJ QQ TT only wins would be miracle straights with 4 outs gone.

or maybe ATs instead of TT with your suit

lol, seriously though, what's it matter if it's 7 to 1 or 8 to 1 since both 7 and 8 are higher than 4?
