    Default Ughh Frustrating

Ok, so I was just in a sng and this one guy at the table was not only playing every hand, but raising a crazy amount about 80% of the time. I caught on real quick to what he was doing and got alot of money out of him..unfortunately none of the other players ever caught on and always folded when I would bet my right arm that the dude was holding something crazy like 83o. It wound up him and I heads up for the win. Our stacks were about even and he was using the same strategy...bet big every hand. If I re-raised he would raise again..etc etc. Anyway, several times he went all in...and I called...and he would wind up winning by flopping two low pair to my pocket K's. ughhh..so I would get my money back a few hands later..and this went on and on like this for quite some time..he would go all in with crap...I would call then he lucks out and wins the hand with some low off-suited crap. The last hand of the game he went all-in with 28c and I had akc....and guess what flopped...2 8!! Omg this dude needs to buy a lottery ticket with his luck. Anyway, that is my long-winded way of asking. How do you play a guy like this heads up? I was trying to just play really good hands...because the way he made it...In order for me to see a flop I would practically have to go all-in for a race situation. Without fail! I tried to reraise on several occasions with nothing myself to try to turn the tables and every time the dude would still go all-in. He never once folded the sb and never once failed to go all-in when I was bb. And what got me even more was how friggin lucky he got. So any suggestions for me the next time this happens because I'm sure it will eventually.

Don't even worry about it, add him to your buddy list and play him when he hasn't got a stacked deck

I agree...this is the type of player you want to play against. He's the type of player that you check, check, trap.

right...I got that for reg money games..would love to play this guy. But in a tourney when it turns out him and I heads up and he goes all-in every hand pre-flop. Looking back on it though, I suppose that was a dumb question. LOL Not much I can do but pick a good hand and call his all-in and hope he doesn't suck out on me. But hate that the blinds are eating away my stack waiting on that hand. Anyway, ignore the question that I asked that has an obvious answer....guess I was just so frustrated and don't like not having "control" of things...hated that he even had enough chips to force me to play his "all or nothing game". He knew he wasn't gonna beat me using skill so was forcing me to throw it all to the luck of the draw in a race situation...which he sucked out and I lost anyway. Ughh still gets me lol

ok reread my last post and it wasn't every hand he went all-in but I would say 95% of them he did. The times he didn't he would raise me some crazy amount and I would call (or reraise) and if a high card didn't hit he would go-all in...which I hesitated to call since there was no telling what low cards he had over there...I've played maniacs but this guy was beyond that he was just flat out dumb a$$ crazy...so it threw me for a loop. lol

try turning the tables on him.......when you act first with a decent hand and only he is left, push all in yourself...watch how quick he backs down. Whe he pushes 1st he knows the odds are that you have a marginal hand and wont want to call..its the old "1st in vig"..........this well help you to stem the loss of BB's and truly take him on when you have a hand that merits calling him with.

I don't love being in these situations, but when in Rome.................

I am this type of player when we play low limits live.. Just play your hands strong and push preflop edges if you ahve them.

Thank you both..next time instead of raising in a situation like this I'll just push on the good hands in sb...be more aggressive..great advice
