How to play 2s?
-

Is this a limit or no-limit game? Tournament?
In any case, I would fold wired 2's 99.9% of the time.
If it's the .1% of the time I am playing 22, I would fold it to all of those flops. If I don't hit trips, it's over."Ok, this is for the game. How you doin' over there? NOT TOO GOOD!"" -Bubble Boy

interesting is one way to say it beav.
22 is a worthless hand.even 34o is about 50/50 to beat it. Unless you're in a special situation (passive family pot, steal spot) then its worth folding.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

Preflop you can play it with a lot of limpers or in the sb with no raise or something like that.

it depends how many ppl are in the pot...unless its heads up i'll fold 22 on any of those twoless flops...if its just one guy it would depend how he played b4 the flop, but i'd usually fold to any show of strenght...
I love him who is ashamed when the dice fall in his favour and who then asks: Am I then a cheat? for he wants to perish.

Limp or call small raises with 1 or 2 callers... it can pay if you hit.
If not, play it exactly as you would play 7-2.
I kalk for cash games or early in MTTs.
On these flops it depends of what happens pre flop, but without more info chek fold on the 3 situations!

I'll fold 22 in any position but BB and SB (no raises PF). However (and this is probably a leak in my game), I would probably check/fold them to the 3,4,5 flop unless I get the odds to draw out on them.
When I draw out on them (and I'll only usually play if the ace hits unless I get a read on my opponents and I don't think their sitting on the 7) I calculate the odds for the 6 outs (no flush draws). 4 aces and 2 dueces (at that point I feel I'm sitting on the best hand). If the 6 hits I get very carefull.Trons

You think a duece is clean?.. Thats the worst card you can hit. A 6 is way cleaner..

I figured I would get some good advice from a gus hansen type player. A pair of 2s is crap, but its a good hand to bluff with because you generally know when you are beat with it. But I was wondering like what hands would be good to bluff it with, when and where.
And yes, we are assuming that its only you and someone else. Cause for some reason I always get a pair of 2s when i'm on the button, and i'm thinking 'well i dont want to fold, seems like a waste of a button'.
Are you saying there is no strategy for bluffing with this hand?
PS: This is a live no-limit texas hold'em game.
Edit: I meant for the last had there to be a straight flush draws. So the clubs are spades now, anything change?Last edited by agentkirb; 08-08-2005 at 06:57 PM.
