Ok, so i`m playing the $10 Starfish R&A Tourney @ Paradise earlier today. 116 players, one of my favourite tourneys.
Early on i`m dealt![]()
in the BB. Blinds are 15/30 and i`ve 1480 in chips.
Two callers, one in mid position with 2100 and the CO with 4100. Flop comes:

So i put a raise in of 100 and both of them call. Turn comesThis time i raise 50, again they both call and the pot now is now 565. River is
![]()
I raise 100, MP calls and the CO re-raises to 300. Thinking i`m beaten by either two pair or a higher kicker i fold. In the showdown the CO wins with![]()
![]()
So, i castigate myself for folding (the pot odds certainly justified a call)
Anyways a later on having re-bought and added on i had 8000 chips and was dealt![]()
under the gun with the blinds now at 200/400. I flat called hoping for no raisers and sure enough, two other limpers and the BB contested the hand. The flop came

![]()
I raise 1000 and get two callers. Turn
I raise 500 and again get called. River
I put in a hefty 2000 raise having hit my flush and get called by both of them. Nice, i then get called a moron for betting on a draw
![]()
Upshot of the tourney was i got nothing after this, couldn`t make any sort of move in position as there always seemed to be hefty raises behind me when i was dealt marginal hands. I eventually finished 17th when i was given big slick with 9000 left, went all-in and was called by a player holding a mid-pair which held up.
So i suppose my question is how did i play the two hands i described, anything i could improve upon?
Thanks.

You started making very weak raises with a medicore hand, and left yourself open to get the hand stolen.

WTF with the wimpy turn bet???? You bet 300 here, give or take.
WIMPY River bet too. And the wimpy raise on his part makes this an autocall.
Wait? this is a rebuy?? I'm making a pot size bet on each street. No hesitation. If somebodies got you outkicked, they would have let you know on the flop.
#2...
Not bad. I dunno about the limp, but that depends on your stack, if you got plenty of chips (35bb+) then its ok...
If your going to bet this turn, grow some balls and bet it... at least 1/2 pot.... not some crappy 1/8 pot.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

1,
I know, i know. I play A/rag kicker quite badly. I always think i`m outkicked.
2,
On the turn, considering they`d both called after the flop i was fairly sure they`d call whatever so i was just hoping to get the club on the river.

Hoping?
When lead out with a 100 chip bet on the flop then decrease the bet to 50 on the turn not only are you giving them the odds to call but a weak ass raise like that would make them sense weakness and put on pretty much your exact hand. I agree with the boys on this one...if you're gonna bet you better BET.

I wouldn't have played either of those hands at a normal, full table in your position. And you're right about A with a weak kicker, it's always a concern. If you haven't paired your kicker or have a flush draw, you're going to lose more times than not.
One thing to keep in mind when you do play A with a low kicker is that sometimes lots of high cards come up or the board pairs and there's something like K or Q up. In those situations you can stick around for a split pot since low kickers are not a factor. Sometimes you can even bluff out the other aces and win the whole pot.
