Default Mix games or stick to one?

I've been playing almost exclusively limit games on UB and PS (with a few MTT's and SnGs thrown in to keep that from getting stale) and at best floundering. Recently I started playing some NL at Doyle's Room and doing really well (those folks must be REALLY bad). I'm thinking maybe I should play more NL, but I'm not sure I want to give up limit all together. What are your thoughts about alternating them? Is it better to stick to one game pretty much exclusively?
I'm CDO. It's like OCD, but everying is in order just like it should be.

I advised him to stick to one game until he feels very comfortable playing it.

well I play almost everything live and online. Personally I like the smaller player base games more like, draw, triple draw, razz, stud 8, some I'm real good at others i'm ok at but there are a lot of concepts you can learn playing Omaha 8 that you can bring over to another game.

I suggest playing everything and finding the game or games you like most, you might be wasting your time with limit hold em when PLO is your game.

I know i can beat any limit hold Em or Limit Omaha 8 game, and at the same time I know not to venture too high playing 7 card stud or draw but I can kill smaller limit games of these games.

As much as I'd love to learn O/8, I don't think I want to start anything THAT different from what I've been doing. I'm more thinking of between limit and NL.

honestly poker games are not overly different, I have never read a speck on Stud 8 or Omaha Hi, or Razz or even draw but I picked up on them quite easily once you understand starting hands and what types of hands win at showdown.

If you can decently play 1 form of poker you will be able to competently play them all

I can only speak from my own expirience, gambling concepts where not obvious to me, nor are the strengths of hands in each form of poker, or the odds.

I think concentrating on one form of poker until you are confident you can beat it is a positive thing. I spent a 8 months playing SnGs, 6 months playing PLO, about a year playing O8b. Then I played limit holdem almost exclusively for about 6 months.

I have to be very careful when I switch from limit to MTTs and SnGs becuase I have such different proaches to those games.

I play 100% NL with the intention of studying it as hard as I can and learning as much as I can rather than switching between games. I also think that there is probably a lot I am missing out on as Steve-O says by not looking at NL through the perspective of other games.

Eventually I suspect I'll have low limit "holidays" in the other forms of the game, but I think it is only recently I became capable of properly shifting gears between MTT and SnGs at NL without confusing myself

Those are my top 2 sites but since been playing at Full Tilt and Doyles Room. I have 6 sites to bounce around depending on the bonus or mood I'm in. While PS and UB are maybe the 2 best sites they are one of the hardest to make money at. If you can even keep your head above the rake then your doing well. In fact like you mentioned about Doyles Room the players seem soft but be careful with NL, it only takes one mistake. I realized limit poker was better for me but getting back to the question the pro's think you should learn all the games. I'm pretty good at Razz so I play it some at Full Tilt but it's kinda boring. Just not interested in the other games right now so maybe I'm shooting myself in the foot.

For now you should stick to one. BE good at limit poker and then once you find yourself sufficent enough to rake up the money then you can move on to NL. But after your done with limit I suggest NL poker.
