Just to let you know, I didn't make this play (I was the villain). Let me know what you think.
Level 3 blinds (1-2) 16 people left overall out of 50 starters. You get AKo on the button. You are a big stack, with ~50 chips, we're playing 8 handed.
One EP calls, and you make it 6 to go. SB and BB both call.
Flop comes KT8r.
3 checks. You bet 10. SB folds, big blind goes all in for more then you have (although the player thought he had him covered at the time, while he was actually short about 10 chips). EP folds. Action?
BB has only been at the table a short while, and made his whole stack at his previous table, while not really playing any pots yet on this one (he actually wandered off to smoke a cigarette for the first 4 or 5 hands after sitting down, then folded his first 4 at this table).

Poor play?

I think i make this call, but I'm not sure. I think I'm ahead, but if not, got some weak out. If I'm beqt, its too a set, not some wacky 2 pair. I think KQ and KJs are possible options and hes jsut trying to blow us off the hand, so I think I call. Per pokerstove, on the range of hands I think he make have (AA-88, AK-KJ) were a slight favorite...
I call.
Side question, if its level three, 35 people are out, how can yu have 50 TC and 1/2 blinds? What were the original stacks?Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

I made the all-in reraise with a set of tens there to knock him out. When I was thinking about the tourney, I thought maybe the all-in push was telegraphing what I had too much for someone who wouldn't get emotionally connected to his hand(like this guy did) . Thanks for saying I made the right play

I'm not sure how he got his stack, but my first table had 6 or 7 fish out of the ten players and I just walked all over them... even without getting any decent cards. We started with 10 in chips and blinds of .25/.50. We always get a lot of poor players at these events, though they generally go out pretty early, which lets you get a bit of a stack before the fast blind increases (double every half hour) eat you up. Usually there's several decent players at each table... but there wasn't anyone at mine. I saw this guy take down a big all-in pot as I was sitting down, so I'm assuming he got his chips from someone with the second-best hand.
