Default Won 4 in a row on the MAUI 15K jack pot...

CD poker offer a Sit and Go called MAUI JACKPOT...
You win 5 in a row, you win 15k!!!!

    Won one yesterday...
And won 3 in a row this afternoon and tonight...
    Makes 4!!!

OK OK OK... shut up I know, I should have post this before and ask for advices!!! But I did'nt!!!

I went out 4th... I was 3rd in chips at that time. But we were all pretty close considering the size of the blinds.

BB with 7-8 suit... SB min raise. He was very tight not really agressive. Knew he had an A. Or a small pair. I call.

Perfect flop A 7 8... I check he raise all in... I know he would have slow play a set I call!!!

    He shows A 10... turn 6 river 6!!!

Not mad at him he made an OK play, not mad at me I played this SNG almost perfectly... I think... Thats a big ''Think''!!!!

Should I have use a different strategy sonsidering sinnishing 2nd or 10th is the same for me here. I WHANT THE 1st PLACE NOTHING ELSE!!!

Should I have use the ultra tight ultra agressive Steve'O strategy?
Should I have been a little less agressive pre flop? (I say anything here)
Should I have try to rack up chips early and sit? (this one is really stupid)
Wait until 3 AM to play the next one?

    I just dont know!!!!

I know I will face this sitiation again cause I decided to give the MAUI a serious try!!! I made the $$$ in 7 of the last 9 winning 5 times.
Did'nt payed much attention before this, but I know I own this table and I start to have pretty good notes on a lot of players who play this SnG on a regular basis.

I have a lot of respect for a lot a posters here and some of you really helped me to improuve some aspects of my games trough your posts.
I'm sure there is something different I can do after the 1st 3 wins to maximize the potential of finishing 1st VS making the money...

Your advices helped me to save a few bets here and there and win a few more pot here and there... BUT NOW IT'S 15K!!! SO STOP KIDDING AND POST!!! NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

What kind of strategy were you employing in these sit and go's?

You still won bonus money for winning 4 in a row right? I think that the offer Noble is running and it sounds very similar to this...it's even called the Maui table.

I always play about the same until the blids are 50-100 where I start to steal lot on position and good reads in order to build for the final 3 and knowing players start to think 3-4 BB is a huge chunk in there stack. Of course, wen I have the stack to do soo. If not I tighten up and raise only all in and only with position. In this situation, Ax could be a pretty good hand.

Before that I'm pretty semi loose passive. I try to see cheap flops with a lot of limpers with suited connects, 2 broadways, small and med PP, Axs, knowing it can be very lucrative if I hit big.

With AA KK, I will reraise.

QQ I will raise a field of limpers or reraise a small raiser or loose agressive player, and probably check fold to an A or K on the flop.

TT-JJ-AK depend alot of positions and type of oponents I'm facing. I I know some player raise pretty big with any PP or A10 or better, I may reraise or just call depending of my read. I definately fold them to a solid player reraise or big raise.

I buy lots of turn also on good reads and scary boards.

Pretty much my strategy i guess...

    No bonus for 4!!!

Of course you have the regular gain!?! Not what you mean?

Or maybe its pretty small and did'nt notice, but if it was 1K, I would have known... trust me!!!

Hi kingjack,oh man so close to the glory. If this makes you feel any better i know a guy i play with at noble who won four in a row like you and on the 5th with two players left he flopped trips with the other guy all in and the guy catches runner runner for a flush and ends up winning. He did get a good bonus though for finishing 1st or 2nd in 5 straight.I think why you got no bonus is because you went out 4th in the 5th one.Well at least you got some cash for your 4 wins although i am sure not what you were hoping for.Well great play anyway to win 4 straight of those.

And by the way at noble they have a new one besides the $18500 MAUI.Listen to this one lol.If you can win 7 straight $10 buy in tourneys you win a cool $1 million.6 straight gets you $75000 and 5 straight gets you $25000.lol Hey what the hell you never know right. You won four in a row i am sure somebody will do it.Somebody got the $18500 there for 5 in a row last week.

Anyways great play and congrats on your wins.GL AT THE TABLES

I owuld not be surprised to find that the deals get rigged near the end of those events, in this case I mean. It wouldnt be hard to write a little app to alter the turn and river or whatever so the guy on the streak loses... In fact I would be VERY suprised if the sites offering this deal hadn't thought/discussed it.

Not that I'm saying its rigged (oh what am I starting???) but I wouldnt be surprised if there was a little deck bias in these scenarios.....
Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
