Rest fold, 7th position calls and draws one. What do I draw and what is my postdraw play?
*7th position is a pretty solid player, a winner in the game, but nothing special.

It can be an ace or used to fill in a straight or flush. Sorry about that. There is only 1 in the deck. 53 card deck.

Bug is the joker. Drop the 2 and K? Postflop play, hmm...umm...
I'm guessing that gives you the potential flush. I would assume to bet it out if you spike two pair. Seat 7 is on a draw, so if you hit the flush, check it and let him bluff. Then you can raise him.

What do you do if I have the

Stand pat, and bet it out postdraw. I don't know if he would fold a straight after an open, then a stand pat bet out. If he misses, he'll most likely just fold and you take the pot. So, that makes the most sense to me. I don't really know what you are drawing for if you drop.

That is a good strategy if you are trying to outplay the man.
If however you are looking for the best hand, then you should keep the ace, the "bug", and the king. IMO

Draw 2, keep the Ace, six, and bug. Bet out after the draw regardless of what you pick up.
If he is solid like you say he should give you respect for trips with his low 2 pair or possible draw (more unlikely if he is truely solid) and if he has 2 pair you have a decent chance to outdraw him.
chances of improving to Aces up or better, alittle less than 1 in 5
$10 pot on the draw, if he will never fold just check fold behind him if you don't improve but if you think there is a 50% he will lay his hand down i would bet. over 6 times you would improve 1 time and get him to fold 3 others (1 of those possibly being when you improve) for a total of 3 wins of $33, you would lose $18 when he calls the other 3 times. even if he called 1 more time it would still be profitable and this is assuming he has 2 pair and not a draw.Last edited by Steve Ruddock; 07-02-2005 at 11:18 AM.

Aces up with sixes or kings isn't much of a difference in Draw, the added possibility of making a flush outweighs the chances someone check called with aces up by a long way. That is a good strategy if you are trying to outplay the man.
