Default AJo in late MP. Second pair on the flop.

20/40 full handed

Here's a hand from the same table that I discussed in thread: JTs in the BB with a heavy flop- limit hand Pt. I. The CO in that JT hand is Villian. We've been playing together for over 3 hours at this point and my thoughts on him haven't changed much since the JT hand. BB hadn't played many hands, but he was only there for about 2 full orbits at this point.

The CO and button were playing very tight and I wanted to isolate Villian with .

Pre-Flop
2 folds. Villian calls. 2 folds. I raise. CO, button, and SB fold. BB calls.

Flop (pot= $130):
BB checks. Villian checks. I bet. BB folds. Villian calls.

Turn (pot= $170- $5):
Villian checks. I _________ ?

Fillin the blank. I'm thinking he'd bet or C/R with AQ, KQ, QT, JT, or AT but with KT, QJ, or Q9, I think he'd wait for the turn. With QJ, I'd like to think that he'd bet the turn, but he'd definitely C/R with Q9 because the pot's so big, I think my bet in predictable. Or is it?

OK he may have a good hand, he may have a filled flush draw, or he may have a straight draw. I dount hed have AQ or similar strenghted hands, PF I think thats a raise or fold hand. Can't call OOP with that, especially since he opened the pot with a limp? Is this .20/.40 or 20/40? I gotta give him more credit than that. I really would put him on the flush draw that filled, or maybe the straight draw/filled. Either way I dont think a bet is +EV here, this is a only get called when your beat type scenario. Check for value here. Take the freebie and hope to fill up/flush.

eh. I dont know.

If you really think he would have put in more action with a ten on the flop, then I would check. Then I'd guess you'd only be worried about giving a freebie for the king.

If he can have a Ten on the turn, then it's a doozie. Probably still a check.

I guess I would check, but I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure they aren't spreading 20c/40c at the Trump.

I think I check behind here, I can't see much that Im ahead of. I'll probly check/fold a non jack/ace/club river.

It was a rhetorical question, meaning if this guys playing $20/$40 hes (*probably*) not goign to limp/call utg with AQ here....

In all honesty, I've either never played with the guy before or I plain ol' don't remember him. Anyone with $400 in their pocket can sit at the table and I believe that the US economy per capita is over $27k. That's over $1k per paycheck, gross. Don't let the 20/40 fool you. There's no entrance exam to sit at the table, people.

I called the turn.

River: A

Villian bet. I raised. He called. I showed him my hand and he mucked. I'm thinking he flopped 2 pair with QJ, I can't really tell. I wouldn't be surprised with AT, but I would thin that he'd lead on the flop with a T and a pair.

I checked.

I was updating this one along with the JT hand. I actually forgot to edit that, as I actually posted the results for that hand here by accident. I don't know if anyone caught the whole thing. It was only up like that for about 10-20 seconds.

You caught that residue from the first mistake, slp. I really make sure that I have one PFO window open at a time. I'm always clicking to see full threads as I reply and it opens another window. Sometimes when I log off, I have about 6 or 7 open.

:good:
