    My Hand: K5
    Opponent's Hand: K2

    Community: K 8 7 7 4

    Do we both have a pair of kings with an 8 kicker??

    You both have two pair k7 and eight kicker that is correct as is best five card hand

    It is always the best 5 cards, so in this case both of your hands are kk778 .

    it's based on the 5 best cards you can have, so you both have kk and 77.. if you had a high card you would have won it
