was playing a cash game week ago,
blinds 1$ - 1$, 8 players

situation:
i was playing tight in the beginning, but started to figure out people noticed i was getting a bit more loose during the game,
in this hand i had J-9 of hearts in position 5, and everyone in front of me folded, i called, dealer button called, and the big blind a very aggressive player raised to 4. we both called. On the flop 7-8-10 all spades, instantly both of them grabbed their cards to look at it, and both liked there cards a bit, i was sure no 1 had the flush, but was sure one of them had the ace of spades and the other king of spades.
Big blind bets 6, and now i am wondering what to do..
what i did was think for a while, knowing if i would go all-in 80 behind, the dealer button would fold and the big blind who was a big fish at the table and probably had the ace would call. i didnt want to gamble, so called with the idea i could push on the turn when this card is not a spade.
on the turn a very nasty card, the jack of diamonds. the big blind bets 20.. i knew one had an ace, and the other a king, so they couldnt have a straight better then me. still i also knew no flush, but they both could have A-9 or K-9, so if i would go all in there would be a very big chance i had a split pot max. so decided to call. dealer also called.
river is spades of 2, big blind all in, i fold, dealer calls, big blind shows A of spades with 9 of clubs dealer mucks.

did i play this hand well? or is it better to raise or push all-in sometime in this hand?

Fold pre. raise flop to 20, you likely have the best hand but very vulnerable, make them pay to draw. lolidunno on turn, but trying to get a cheap river showdown seems reasonable.

It's hard to say without seeing them play, but it's hard to win a flopped straight against 2 people.. it always seems to hit another spade and there are 4 cards that could be spades.. It's not the best situation to be in all around. I dont like J9 for 5 bets either.
