Ok, I have had PT for a little while, but not really collected any data in anger...
I have also just bought 'Handgrabber' so I can collect data from Pacific, where I pretty much do all of my 6 Max playing at the moment.
Thing is......
How many hands do I need to play to get a fiar account of my current playing style? I am guessing this might be rather a lot.
Also, PT has a large number of acronyms, and abbreviations, not all (erm... most) of which I am familiar with. What data do I need to pay particular attention too?
Is see there is a 'summary' line for any selected player, anyone fancy explaining it too me?
Anybody wanna share their summary line with me? such that when I have collected enough info I'll have something to compare against?
I only really play 6 Max limit regularly, so its info on that I am interested in.
Cheers! gawd bless ya!

That is a theoretical question that is hard to give a good answer too.
Sklaskly used to say you needed 3k hands which was about 100 hours or live play, most 2+2ers will say you need 60k to establish your true win rate. Not sure if short handed would increase the number hands or not.
I also think establishing a true WR is difficult because games change over time.

hi
the poker tracker help files should explain all the abbreviations to you. hunt around there. there's also a pretty good ebook on using PT, but i forget who wrote it. google will tell you.
as for # of hands, i'm no math person so i can't tell you with certainty, but my numbers calmed down at about 50k hands.

Semi-Long run indicator? That'll help with determining the accuracy of your sample.
Just mouse-over each abbreviation you odnt understand, and look at the bottom left corner, it spells it out for you.
Which summary line do you refer to?Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

You only have 97 hands? Oh...............................
You shouldn't realy start paying attention to results until you have at least 10k hands.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

Just to give you an idea, i only have around 15k hands at a particular level, and the winrate at 13k hands was 3.07bb/100 and now it is around .81BB/100. So in 2,000 hands it changed extremely drastically. I'm going to give a rough estimate that at around 35k-40k your winrate starts to become solid (+/- .15BB/100)
